As per Income Tax Department of India Aadhar Pan Link becomes must for every users before 31st March 2020 . But due to Corona Virus the deadline or Aadhar Pan Link Last Date extended to 30th June 2020 .
Also from 1st April , 2019 it has become mandatory to link Aadhaar number while filing tax returns unless specifically exempted . According to news an individual cannot file his/her ITR without linking the two first. So you need to link Aadhhar Card with Pan Card as soon as possible .

How To Link Aadhar Card With Pan Card
If you are a already registered user at Income Tax e filling website , then there is a chance it is already linked . So first of all check it is already linked or not . To check log in on Income Tax e filling website . Then click on Profile Section and then select on last option ‘ Link Aadhar ‘ .
The screen will show the message, ‘Your PAN is already linked to Aadhaar number XXXX5678’.
In case your PAN is not linked to Aadhar Card then a form will appear where you will be required to enter details . Name, date of birth and gender as per PAN records next your Aadhaar number. Click on submit after filling the captcha appearing on the screen .
Once details are submitted , a success message will be displayed on your screen .
But If you are a non registered user then above methods are not for you . You have to follow the below steps for Adhar Pan Link .

Aadhar Pan Link From Mobile
To link Aadhar Card with Pan Card for a non registered user follow the steps .
After opening Income Tax India Official Website you can see a hyperlink ( Link Aadhar ) . To link Pan with Adhar Card , you just have to click on this . Next you can see a form will appear , where you have to enter your details – Pan , Aadhar Number , name as per Aadhar Card . ( Direct Link )
After entering the details you can see a tick box where you have to tick . If your Aadhar Card has only year of birth then tick the box otherwise not .
Now after filling all the details you have to fill a Captcha Code , and then click on Submit .
Then a Successful message will be displayed on your screen showing your Pan is successfully lined with Aadhar .
Note This : If using online linking methods , an Aadhaar OTP will be sent in case your name doesn’t match that on your PAN card . Whereas your date of birth and gender matches . The OTP will be sent to the mobile number registered/linked to the Aadhaar number entered online. You will have to enter that OTP online to continue and complete the linking process .

Aadhar Pan Link Through SMS
If you face problem while Aadhar And Pan Card linking through Online then you can link it via SMS also . To link via SMS you have to follow the below steps .
You have to send a specific SMS for Aadhar And Pan Card Linking Through SMS . After that you have to send that SMS to 567678 or 56161 .
SMS format is UIDPAN<12 digit Aadhaar><10 digit PAN>
For Example if your Aadhar Card Number is 2222-3333-4444 and your Pan No is XXXXX0123Y . Then your SMS will be like UIDPAN <Space> 222233334444 <Space> XXXXX0123Y . And then finally send it to 567678 or 56161 .
Note That : NSDL or UTI won’t charge you for this . However mobile operator charge you sms charge .
Aadhar Pan Link Problem – How To Solve
If you face any problem whiling linking Aadhar Card with Pan Card then it might be for mismatch . If your Aadhar Card and Pan Card name is mismatched then you can link it through Aadhar linked Mobile OTP . But if your Date of Birth or other details are mismatched . then you have to correct those details before linking . Otherwise your linking won’t be successful .
If you want to correct your PAN Card details then you have to pay Rs 110 as charge . And if you want to correct your Aadhar Card details then its charge is Rs 25 only .

How To Check Status
Aadhar Pan Linking Status Check Online
If you already linked your Aadhar and Pan Card then you can check status of Aadhar Pan Link . You check it via online and offilne as well .
First of all visit Income Tax India Official Website or Click Here
Then Tap on ‘ View Link Aadhar Status ‘
After that simply enter your Aadhar and Pan Number and tap on submit button .
The status of you Aadhar Pan linking will displayed on the next screen .

Aadhar Pan linking Status Check Offline
If you don’t have a internet connection then you can check status via offline through sms also . In this case you have to send a specific SMS to 567678 or 56161 . The SMS format is UIDPAN <space> 12 Digit Aadhar Number <space> 10 Digit Pan Number .
If your linking is successful , you will get a sms ‘ your aadhar pan link is successful …. ‘ .
Aadhar Pan Link Last Date
Previously the Aadhar Pan Link Last Deadline was 31st March 2020 but due to Corona Virus it is extended to 30th June 2020 . If you won’t link before the deadline then your Pan may become inoperative . An individual having an inoperative PAN will not be able to conduct financial transactions wherever quoting it is mandatory. So try to linked it as soon as possible .
